Pacific Rim National Park
Four Day Broken Islands Sea Kayaking Expedition

The Broken Islands are located in Barkley Sound on the west coast of Vancouver Island. The area is part of Pacific Rim National Park and contains hundreds of wilderness islands no larger than 2 km (1.3 mi.) across. The inner islands offer sand fringed bays, quiet coves, and narrow sheltered waterways. The exposed shores of the outer islands are rugged and weather worn, shaped by Pacific winter storms.

The island channels host an incredible amount of marine and intertidal life, providing hours of beachcombing and kayaking pleasure. Porpoises, seals, sea lions, gray whales and over 200 species of sea birds inhabit the nutrient rich waters.

Tours of Exploration offers a four day sea kayaking expedition that is suitable for novice and experienced paddlers.
