Research Adventures
Whale Research in Coastal British Columbia

The Coastal Ecosystems Research Foundation is involved in ongoing research into the biology and ecology of whales and dolphins in Canadian waters. Participants will be incorporated into the research team, learn field techniques and participate on projects under the direction of the research biologists. The study area stretches 50 miles along the mainland shore of Queen Charlotte Sound.

Much of the research focuses on grey and humpback whales. Also found in the waters are white-sided dolphins and Orca (killer whales). Participants will experience wilderness camping in rainforest and full days spent aboard a 40 foot research vessel. This is an excellent way to contribute to this non-profit organization and their efforts.
